Aroma Mission 2.0 - (E)

The Aroma Mission started by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, has worked to strengthen the country in the cultivation of aromatic crops and increase farmers’ income in the process. Lavender cultivation is now becoming a major source of employment, especially in the inaccessible backward areas of Jammu. Now, the second phase of the Aroma Mission aims to establish the Bhadarwah area of the Doda district as the Lavender Valley. For now, 8 lakh saplings of Lavender have been distributed by the CSIR’s Jammu based Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine in the second phase.
