75 Start-Ups: Space Technology (E)

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has informed that about 75 start-ups have been registered under the space technology category in the Startup India portal. He said reforms were announced in 2020 to facilitate private sector participation in space activities. In this direction, a national level autonomous nodal agency, the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre or IN-SPACe, was created. Since then, the Department of Space has been revising existing policies and developing new policy frameworks to address various areas such as Space Com, Remote Sensing, Technology Transfer, Navigation, and many others.
