Rocket Science & Technology: Struggles & Challenges Faced by APJ Abdul Kalam

We're proud to launch a new animated series on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam. The series is made in collaboration with IIT Delhi and IIT Guwahati. Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam hailing from a humble background in a fisherman's village in Rameshwaram, the southernmost tip of India goes on to become one of the most distinguished scientists, science administrators and 11th president of India. He remained quintessentially a scientist, an educator and an inspirational figure throughout his life. He led Indian defence (DRDO) and space programs (ISRO); from conducting Pokhran Nuclear tests to launching off space satellites for both military and civil purposes. The film depicts in short, the birds-eye view of his life, struggles and challenges and his endeavours to lead India into self-reliance in space and missile research, thus putting India among the group of select few countries. For his dedicated service and inspiring a whole generation of youths, he shall forever be remembered as a ‘missile man’, and one of the most loved presidents of India.
