"India’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis is being hailed all around the world as a big success story. For a population of 1.3 billion, the deaths and infections due to COVID-19 are low. India's honourable minister of Science & Technology; Health & Family welfare and Earth Sciences, Dr Harsh Vardhan says this was possible because of an all of government and all of the society approach that helped India. Indian scientists also delivered big time from making N-95 masks, PPE kits to diagnostic kits and now one wholly indigenous vaccine and one manufactured in India. Both these vaccines are being also supplied to the world through the Vaccine Maitri program. Dr Harsh Vardhan also helped India get rid of the poliovirus and that experience along with his learnings of working with the World Health Organisation (WHO) helped him on this important mission of saving India. The minister also answers how he protected himself from getting infected as he went about his duties during the lockdown and how he felt after taking the Covaxin vaccine shot. Dr Harsh Vardhan says when 'India decides, India delivers' and suggest the end of the pandemic is near but seeks compliance of all COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. "
