Study on The Behaviour of Elephants (E)
Researchers from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, an autonomous institute of the Department of Science and Technology, have conducted a study on the behaviour of male Asian elephants. The study was conducted on groups of identified non-sexually active wild Asian elephants in Nagarhole and Bandipur National Parks. With the expansion of human settlements, the Human-elephant conflict is also on the rise.
