The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently approved the transfer of 10 in-orbit communication satellites to NewSpace India Limited. NewSpace India Limited is a Government of India owned Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Department of Space. It was established with the objective of promoting private entrepreneurship in the space sector.
