NASA’s Apollo-15 Moon Mission (E)
NASA’s Apollo-15 Moon mission has completed 50 years on 26 July 2021. Apollo-15 was the first mission where astronauts used the Apollo Lunar Surface Drill and the Lunar Roving Vehicle to explore the moon. The surface of the moon was drilled to trace its history . Now NASA’s Artemis mission aims to drill the lunar surface again with the help of Regolith and Ice Drill for Exploring New Terrain or &’TRIDENT’. TRIDENT is also a rotary percussive drill but won’t need manual operation by the astronauts.
