Lucy mission (E)

NASA launched its ambitious Lucy mission on October the 16th . Launched in collaboration with the United Launch Alliance, this mission is the agency’s first to Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids. At 3.04 pm Indian time, the Lucy mission took off from the Cape-Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on a Atlas-V rocket towards the orbit of the planet Jupiter. The objective of this mission is to study two groups of asteroids moving in a swarm in Jupiter’s orbit, which are called Trojan asteroids.
