World Sparrow Day (E)
For ages, house sparrows were known to accompany humans... But, over the last two decades, the situation has changed dramatically, particularly in urban areas… Our love for ‘concrete jungles’ in the name of development, has left little space for their food and shelter. As a result, house sparrows and many other common birds, are moving towards the countryside in search of a habitable place. Thankfully, many efforts are being made to prevent the disappearance of these birds.
