Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program (E)
One of the programs being run to save the mountainous ecosystem is the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program GSLEP. Under this program, development issues related to mountains are addressed for the protection of snow leopards which is an endangered species. In this direction , the fourth Steering Committee meeting of GSLEP was held in New Delhi on 23rd and 24th October. Several important issues were discussed in this meeting organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and GSLEP Secretariat.
