Researchers from Jadavpur University Kolkata have developed a new technology for the treatment of oily waste-water. The technology uses a membrane separation device operated with the help of an electric field. With the use of this smart and affordable technology, medium and small-scale industries can also set up efficient water treatment plants. This will reduce water pollution to a great extent.
