High Resolution Aquifer Mapping And Management (E)
The National Geophysical Research Institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has initiated high resolution aquifer mapping and management in the arid regions of Northwest India to augment groundwater resources. During a meeting in New Delhi, the Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr.Jitendra Singh, interacted with the scientists and stated that the mapping of groundwater sources would help in utilizing groundwater for drinking purposes, and would help the government to achieve its mission of “Har Ghar Nal se Jal’.
