Lavender Festival in Doda (E)
India's first-ever Lavender Festival was organized in Jammu's Bhaderwah. The festival showcased the remarkable results of lavender cultivation in the region. This is a huge S&T achievement for India as lavender is not a native species. The festival was organised by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research under the aegis of the Ministry of Science and Technology, to further expand the success of the purple revolution.
