Dairy Farming in Jammu (E)
A societal project being run by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is making dairy farming a profitable business in the villages of Jammu and Kashmir. Training and scientific interventions provided by the DBT have encouraged backward communities of the rural Jammu to start their own dairy ventures…and empowered by the DBT’s support, the young entrepreneurs of the area have now increased their income by nearly two to five times.
