Professor Mukherjee, Director of IASST, Guwahati, an autonomous institute of the DST, and his collaborators Prof. Yuri N. Utkin from the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Moscow, and Dr. Bhargab Kalita from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, have discovered the mechanism of toxic action of cobra snake venom.
