Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Many states of India are dealing with the bird flu scare as a large number of birds have been found dead.. Four states namely Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Rajasthan, have confirmed the H5N8 virus strain of bird flu or avian influenza. After the death of 12,000 ducks in the state of Kerala, Bird flu has been declared as a state emergency.
