Energizing India with Alternative Energies (E)

The film begins with the inception of solar energy in 1866 when a man walked in the sunshine ahead of his time. He was Augustin Mouchot. After six years of hard work, he produced the world's first parabolic solar collector that was used to drive a steam engine. Now the only alternative to fossil fuels we have is to go for energy from natural non-polluting sources like wind and sun. This film also elaborates on how we Indians can adopt them for our various agricultural, industrial and domestic needs.
