Supercomputing Facility at NABI (E)

The Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh recently launched the Supercomputing Facility at the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute in Mohali. This advanced 650 teraflops supercomputing facility, set up under the National Supercomputing Mission in partnership with C-DAC, Pune, serves as a facilitator for 75 innovative start-ups working in the fields of Telemedicine, Digital Health, Big Data and other technologies. The facility, set up at a cost of about Rs 20 crore, will help meet the needs of interdisciplinary cutting-edge research on agricultural and nutritional biotechnology.., being carried out at NABI and Center for Innovative and Applied Bio-processing (CIAB). Following the inauguration, Dr. Jitendra Singh also launched two digital working platforms ‘NABI-Labify’ and ‘e-Office’ at NABI and CIAB, under the 'Digital India' initiative. NABI Labify is a unique software that facilitates live tracking of funds that have been sanctioned for purchase of equipment, consumables, human resources, external projects and so on.
