S&T contribution of MoES (E)
The Department of Ocean Development, established in 1981 by the Government of India, was re-organised as the Ministry of Earth Sciences in the year 2006. Various departments under this ministry carry out research on S&T development for weather, climate, ocean, earthquake, polar research and allied activities.
