Rooftop Solar Power (E)
A global study has found that India is the most cost-effective country for generating rooftop solar energy. The study mapped 130 million square kilometres of the global land surface area and identified the rooftop area using a machine algorithm., to understand the electricity generation potential of Roof Top Solar Photovoltaics globally and its associated costs. In a way, this study also reflects India’s commitment to using alternative energy and reducing carbon emissions.
