Periodic Table - Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev (E)
Dmitri Mendeleev is a Russian chemist and inventor who formulated the Periodic Law and the periodic table of elements in 1860’s, when concepts of atoms and atomic weight were still in nascency. He not only arranged the known elements in accordance with their atomic weight, but correctly predicted for the ones to be discovered then. Mendeleev’s Periodic table of elements forms the bedrock of todays chemistry and fundamental understanding of the physical sciences.
