Educational and research institutions of the country have played an important role in making India a strong and prosperous nation. One such institute is the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee which completed 175 years of its establishment on 25 November. Established in 1847 as the country's first engineering college, this institute today is striving to create a sustainable society through its innovative research along with imparting world class education.
