High Density Graphite (E)
One of the most suitable materials for use as a moderator in nuclear reactors is High density graphite. It is a very special material with high strength, fine micro- structure and ability to withstand extremely high temperatures while still maintaining its strength and shape. NPL is developing high density isotropic graphite for Baba Atomic Research Centre.
