The risk of wildfire and forest fire increases with the summer season and this causes a lot of damage. But the damage is lesser compared to earlier times. We get quick information about forest fires now. National Remote Sensing Centre and Indian Forest Survey are keeping an eye on the hazardous regions through satellite. Forest department has developed new methods of surveillance and communication. In addition equipment has been developed by Forest Research Institute, for easy use of fire fighters to minimize the hazard.
