Energy From Wastewater (E)
Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati have developed a technology to generate green energy during wastewater Treatment. The new technology offers the dual benefit of bioelectricity generation and wastewater treatment. Developed under a programme supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, this innovation can be helpful in solving the problem of water and power management in India, which has a rapidly growing urban population.
