Indian researchers have solved significant issues related to the electrochemical oxidation of Phenol. Researchers working at a Bengaluru based autonomous institute of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India, have shown that carbon-based electrodes can be used for the effective electrochemical oxidation of phenol to 1,4 hydro-quinone.
