Dr. Srivari Chandrashekhar, Secretary, DST (E)
Dr. Srivari Chandrashekhar recently assumed charge as the secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, GOI. Dr Chandrashekhar took over the charge from Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, who had an additional charge of DST after the completion of Prof Ashutosh Sharma’s tenure. Dr. Chandrashekhar was, until recently, the Director of CSIR’s Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) at Hyderabad. He joined IICT in 1994 and held various scientific positions till he became the director of the institute in 2015.
