Controlling Infectious Diseases Globally (E)

In this episode, we talk to Dr Altaf Lal who is one of the most well-known Kashmiri scientists and an expert on infectious diseases. He is a global citizen and was worked with the Centers for Disease Control; the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the USA; The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and was Health Attaché in the US Embassy in New Delhi. He knows more about malaria, hepatitis, AIDS and is currently the Senior Advisor Global Health and Innovation, Sun Pharma. His project on the elimination of malaria in the Mandla District in Madhya Pradesh is becoming a landmark effort. Along with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Department of Biotechnology, Sun pharma is conducting the first clinical trial of a plant-based drug, AQCH, against Covid-19.
