Indian Navy Fleet Review (E)
The 12th edition of the Indian Navy Fleet Review was held under the theme 75 Years in Service of the Nation, as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Indian Navy showcased indigenous technologies and achievements before the President, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at Visakhapatnam on 21st February. Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R. Hari Kumar were present at the event. After a 21-Gun Salute and the Ceremonial Guard of Honour, the President embarked on INS Sumitra, an indigenously built Naval Offshore Patrol Vessel, which is designated as the President’s Yacht.
