Rhododendron or Buransh is a well-known flowering tree in the Himalayan region. The sherbet prepared out of its flowers is known to have many health benefits besides being appetizing. Now, a study by the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi and the New Delhi based International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, has also identified phytochemicals in its petals that could potentially be used to treat COVID-19 infection.
