Distant Collaboration of India in S&T (E)
The integration of the economy of the world has further given a boost to the idea of looking at planet earth as a single unit, devoid of any boundaries which are based on the concept of nation theory. If we look at the Science and Technology scenario at the global level, most of the Nobel prizes are shared by the nationals of different countries working on the same problem. In India, since the inception of the Department of Science and Technology, which is responsible for the policy formulation and for creating a conducive environment for Science and Technology, international cooperation has always remained a priority area. The reflection of the same can be seen quite prominently in all the Science and Technology related policies of India.
