Agni-5 Missile (E)
On 27th October, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired the Agni-5 surface-to-surface ballistic missile. The range of this new missile of the Agni series is said to be up to 5 thousand kilometers. The missile was to be tested in 2020, but it was delayed due to the Corona virus pandemic. Developed by DRDO, in collaboration with Bharat Dynamics Limited, the Agni 5 missile is fitted with a three-stage solid fuel engine. This missile can hit targets at ranges up to a distance of 5000 km with a very high degree of accuracy, and at a speed 24 times the speed of sound.
