65th Anniversary: National Calendar of India (E)

The Indian parliament adopted the ‘Indian National Calendar’ in 1957, but it isn’t very popular among the masses. Now a two-day national conference cum exhibition is being organized in April this year, to create awareness about this unique scientific expression of India’s identity. To mark the 65th anniversary of its adoption, the first curtain raiser of the event was held on 22nd March in New Delhi ,… and many more curtain-raisers are in line to popularize the national event.
